Summary:
In the book, Luttrell focuses on bringing the accomplishments of the lost heroes of Navy SEAL Team 10 to light. On the night of the operation, which involved infiltrating a Taliban stronghold to retrieve a known al-Qaeda leader, the team members left their post in Afghanistan to head for the border with Pakistan. This story is the account of Marcus Luttrell and his fellow Navy SEALs as they were trained, transported, and instructed to fight the Taliban.

My Take:
A nice book. Maybe a tad bit lacking editing. Few chapters just drag on endlessly and moreover this genre may not excite everyone. All said and done, this book is truly well written when it comes to first account war experience reads. One truly can empathize with Marcus and when it comes to the ending chapters, one can’t really help but feel strongly about soldiers and their plight, which was the reason why the author started writing itself. If you are someone who loves action packed and a “strong” read, this is for you.
